Lovely ladies and gorgeous men from around the province have hotly invaded the annual 35th Dinagsa Festival 2009 when the two sexes literally clash on far different arenas of beauties, fashion and wits.
Ginoong Cadiz 2009 (GC) and Dinagsa Queen 2009 (MC) will flair up the festive moment when they seductively feature their respective 10 candidates on January 21 and 23, 7PM, at the Don Bernardo L. Benedicto Community Center.
At 17, candidate number 1 Eric Bacomo (Talisay City) stresses that the male pageant is not a form of exploitation. “It’s a venue where one surely can develop his personality and talent. But 21-year-old Joe Arvy Natan (Sagay City), candidate number 2, discloses that such pageant provides an opportune time to improve one’ skills.
Candidate number 3 Dexter Montalbo, 20 (Talisay City), states that the male pageant helps boost one’s confidence. Candidate number 4 Rian Gumban (Cadiz City), 18, batted in that it makes him share his talent.
“Promote unity and friendship” is what candidate number 5 Michael Angelo Sardual (Bacolod City) utters of the male pageant. At 17, Fred Eisenman (Bacolod City), candidate number 6, advocates that any male pageant promotes the male strength, the power of a man.
Christian Liboon (Cadiz City), an 18-year-old candidate number 7, finds social pressure and pleasure in every male pageant. For candidate number 8 Bejien Tanguan (Sagay City), 21, male pageant does not exploit men but endorses the men’s essentials.
Nineteen-year-old Darwin Calagiung, candidate number 9, believes the male pageant showcases the men’s talents and skills. Candidate number 10 Michael Acumabig (Cadiz City), 22, says the search for Ginoong Cadiz helps improve one’s personality.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Aiza Grace Jacildo, candidate number 1 for Mutya Ng Cadiz 2009, shares that the woman of the future must be responsible to handle and conquer the trials. But candidate number 2 Andrea Michelle Escanuela advocates that she must have a solid family tie.
At 16, Camille Angelic Zaragoza, candidate number 3, says the future belongs to the woman who can lead the society. Rasha Ahmad, a 17-year-old candidate number 4, confides that she must maintain respectable name and high morale.
“Woman of the future excels in many fields”, that’s how 17-year-old Jessa Joy Calaguing, candidate number 5, foresees. But for Irene Cayapado, 15 years old and candidate number 6, she must be liberated and multi-cultured woman.
Candidate number 7 Rosebelle Reubal, 17, speaks that the woman of the future must be versatile, strong and capable one. “She must be the savior and protector of the Mother Earth”, the candidate number 8 Mirabel Salcedo, 17, cried.
Nariko Elizabeth Hikata, 18, is a candidate number 9 who articulates that a woman of the future is unique. And, candidate number 10 Mickey Rose Genon, 18, declares that she must be ultra-modern to live in the fast-changing world./*
