Cadiz City has recently acquired its new masthead for use of the Cadiz Bulletin, the official publication of the City Government of Cadiz, during the “Masthead Making Contest” on the 42nd Charter Day Anniversary last July 4, at the Cadiz Information Center along Cabahug – Abelarde Streets.

Mayor Salvador G. Escalante Jr. awarded Varlet L. Provencion II, a senior high school student of the Philippine Normal University – Center for Teaching and Learning, who bagged the grand prize awards. He bested other 41 entries from different schools within Cadiz.

The 10 Finalists included Lara Jewdryna Barzo (Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial Nationa High School), Femy Marie Remillia (PNU-CTL), Nelson Gonzales (PNU), Bernard Jimena (PNU), Jeannie Rose Alipar (SPED High School), Maria Riza Lloren (DRVFGMNHS), Santiago Gempasao (PNU), Noel Sayam (PNU), Kin Kevin De Jose (PNU) and Rod Vincent Dominguez (DRVFGMNHS).

The judges were Dr. Ma. Socorro Ibanez, English Supervisor I of Schools Division of Cadiz; Dr. Gliceria Arlyn Garancho, Professor of PNU; and, Engr. Norberto Tongoy II, Software Engineer and Development Manager of DWC Corporation in Cebu City.

The Cadiz Bulletin, published by the City Information Office, will start using its new masthead on August, this year./*
