Sixteen-year-old Camille Angelie Zaragoza of the Philippine Normal University - Center for Teaching and Learning was crowned Dinagsa Queen 2009 during the pageant and coronation night last January 23 at Don Bernardo L. Benedicto Community Center, this city.

Camille, a fourth year high school student from PNU who stands five feet and six inches tall, was also chosen as Best in Repartee and received a cash prize of P20,000, a sash and a trophy. She was the lovely daughter of Jude and Gina Zaragoza.

Rosebelle Reubal from Barangay Magsaysay reaped the title of Ambassadress of Tourism and received a cash incentive of P15,000. Irene Cayapado of Barangay Daga acquired the Ambassadress of Peace. She also obtained the Miss Photogenic, Face of the New Placenta, Best in Evening Gown, Miss White Castle awards. She received P10,000 and P1,000 each for minor awards.

Aiza Grace Jacildo was the First Runner-up and Rusha Ahmad Mustafa of Purok Hitalon got the Second Runner –Up. They received a cash prize of P5,000 each.

Aiza Grace, who has vital statistics of 34-24-36 bagged the Best in Swimwear and Miss Body Beautiful awards, while Rusha Ahmad Mustafa garnered the Miss Coca Cola and Best in Mythical Bird.

Other candidates were Andrea Michelle Escanuela, Jessa Joy Calaguing, Mirabel Salcedo, Nariko Elizabeth Hikata and Mickey Rose Genon. Candidates were given a seed money of P10,000 each.

The members of the board of judges were Creative Director of Bacolod Arts Ensemble Jobal Lituanias, Lin-ay Sang Negros 2007 Crister Mari Taclobos, Miss Masskara 1998 Jennifer Flores, Fashion Designer Lino Ramos, Engr. Mario Golingan from Florida, USA, and Mr. Segundo “Panoy” Cabalcar Jr., official choreographer of Bacolod Masskara Festival and Lin-ay Sang Negros. This year’s pageant was chaired and directed by Edgardo Barilea and Erol Jane Bandiola, respectively. They were assisted by the faculty and staff of the Dr. Vicente F.
