The Search for Ginoong Cadiz 2011 on January 27 featured eight Cadiznon hunks that were armed with good looks, wit and talent. The pageant was held in a jam packed Don Bernardo Benedicto Community Center on a drizzled Thursday night to thousands of excited spectators, mostly teenagers.

Ramon Cesar Mahipus, candidate number 3, a second year nursing student of Colegio San Agustin Bacolod, was adjudged Ginoong Cadiz 2011, after more than two grueling hours of production number, swim wear and traditional barong presentations, and two sets of interview on stage. Jhay, as he is fondly called by family and friends, also romps away with the Best in Traditional Barong award because of his elegance, bearing and style in wearing the aqua blue beaded and sequined piece. Mahipus represented Tibanda Tribe, a merger of Barangays Tiglawigan, Banquerohan and Daga.

Kurt Daren Micabel, candidate number 5, who represented Bobucad Tribe was First Runner up winning the title Ginoong Turismo 2011 plus other awards Best in Production Number and Best in Repartee, while Keene Castillo, candidate number 8, who represented Barangay Zone 2, placed Second Runner up winning the title Ginoong Maharlika 2011 plus other awards Mr. Photogenic, because his face depicts vibrancy and full of life; Best in Swim wear, Mr. San Miguel Beer and Ginoong Pepsi. Each winner received cash prize and trophy.

Other awards went to Eduard Joseph Brillantes, candidate number 6, as Mr. Congeniality, Director's Choice award and People's Choice award; Melvan Villa, candidate number 4, as Best in Mythical Costume as the god Hercules, George Kevin Barilea, candidate number 2, as Best in Body Form and Best in Talent, and Ryan Labrador, candidate number 1, as GYMXX Most Favorite.

The panel of judges was composed by five distinguished and popular personalities from Bacolod City.Ginoong Cadiz 2011 were hosted by Ms. Josephine Baceco and Mr.Cyrus Alcala./*
